Mark Lee comments in the Financial Times on the benefits of responsible investment

Mark Lee, chief executive of SustainAbility, the UK-based consultancy, believes philanthropy will play a diminishing role, as companies recognize the benefits – securing raw materials, establishing footholds in new emerging markets and winning loyalty from ethically minded customers.

“What’s most exciting is where it’s happening within the portfolio,” he says. “It’s about getting brand managers and people responsible for lines of business and decision-making to see the potential in this, and to make a different kind of investment.”
